1. What is the most important concept you learned this semester? Explain the concept briefly and discuss why it is important.
The most important concept that I came to understand was how social networks can actively affect society. The process of information and idea sharing has been accelerated by the world wide web, and it's an amazing thing.

2. From all the new knowledge you gained in this class, choose 2 facts or ideas that make the biggest impression on you. Explain.
The creative commons licence is one of the most intriguing things that I was able to see this semester. It a really great platform to share art, while keeping credit for your work. I can't help but feel like copyright is an obsolete thing. The next best thing that I picked up was Clay Shirky's speech. His limitless faith in the internet was interesting, and well recieved. He mentioned that it was engulfing all other forms of media and rapidly growing as people contribute information.

3. What 3 skills will you take from this class, and how will you use them in the future?
Before this semester, I had never done research in a college library, many of the tips we recieved at UTSA were great. Diigo is also a great research tool that i plan to utilize for papers and projects in the near future. But by far the most valued skill I learned was compiling multiple sources of information in one coherent presentation. This will serve me well in my academic future.

4. Look at the 4 global competencies (objectives) for the course. Which objective do you feel you developed to the greatest degree?
What did you learn about that objective, how did you learn it, and why does it matter in the world?
More than any other objective I feel as if I've investigated the World. In my research I tried to find as many innovations and options that the planet had made available to use for fuel use. The experience has left me with knowledge that i would have never otherwise obtained, as well as a look into the future of our world.

5. What does it mean to be a global leader in the 21st century?
To think before you act, to contribute to information as you benefit from it, and to always broaden your own perspective.
